Bigpond is the largest brand that comes under Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia\u2019s telecommunication company. It offers internet services which includes email services, web hosting, mobile phones, mobile broadband services, and broadband and dial-up internet connections. Bigpond operates on Telstra\u2019s extensive telecommunications network infrastructure that includes both fixed-line and mobile networks.  On the other hand, Optus also known as Singtel Optus Pty Limited is the second largest telecommunication company in Australia. It is owned by Singapore Telecommunication Limited (Singtel) and also a competitor of Telstra. It offers a range of telecommunication services that includes mobile phone plans, broadband internet, mobile broadband, home phone services and pay television. Optus has its own mobile network infrastructure that includes 3G, 4G and 5G networks as well as fixed-line broadband infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes the Bigpond mail may not work after switching to optus net, it is due to various reasons. Here are some points to troubleshoot and resolve the issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. When switching ISPs, the users have to update the email settings in their email client to reflect the new ISPs servers. The email client should be configured with the correct incoming (IMAP\/POP) and outgoing (SMTP) server settings.<\/li>

  6. If the users have set up email forwarding from their Bigpond account to another email address, make sure that the forwarding will be configured correctly after switching to Optus.<\/li>
  7. If the users are facing problems with their Bigpond email then they migrate their email to Optus email service or a different provider that suits the users needs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
